چکیده

Stainless steel-concrete composite beam has been regarded as a new application that is widely applied in offshore bridges and high-rise buildings attracting increasing interest from engineering community. The benefits brought by stainless steel, such superior corrosion fire resistance, high strength ductility well improved durability, could offer optimal sustainable solutions for infrastructures highways. However, the current design provisions beams are based on assumption of an elastic-perfectly-plastic steel model which different to material with rounded stress-strain curve significant strain hardening. To develop rational guidance, this paper carried out comprehensive experimental, numerical analytical study behaviour beams. A series tests were conducted eighteen full-scale under bending, shear combined bending shear. Three dimensional finite element (FE) was developed ABAQUS FE simulations complement experimental program. New models proposed predicting moment capacity beam. Additionally, modified approach recommended guidance AS/NZS 2327. applicability moment-shear interaction defined 2327 EN 1994-1-1 assessed obtained results.

Influence of Shear Connection Distributions on the Behaviour of Continuous Steel-concrete Composite Beams

For this purpose a finite element model specifically developed for the nonlinear analysis of steel-concrete composite beams is adopted. This finite element model includes material nonlinearity of slab concrete, reinforcement steel, beam steel as well as slabbeam nonlinear partial interaction due to the deformable shear connection. The inclusion of the partial interaction in the composite beam m...

Nonlinear Time-Dependent Behavior of Composite Steel-Concrete Beams

This paper presents a mixed finite element model for the nonlinear time-dependant analysis of composite beams with partial shear connection. The key idea is to consider, as a first approach, a viscoelastic/plastic model for the concrete slab in order to simulate the interaction between the time effects of concrete, such as creep and shrinkage, and the concrete cracking. Creep is taken into acco...

Long-term Stress of Simply Supported Steel-concrete Composite Beams

The theoretical model to compute the long-term stress of simply supported steel-concrete composite beam was deduced. The model includes the effects of steel bars in concrete slab, concrete shrinkage and creep. The computed results agreed well with the test results. On this basis, the effects of factors such as concrete age to loading, longitudinal reinforcement ratio in concrete slab, concrete ...

Analysis and Design of Steel-Concrete Composite Frame Systems

The lack of clear guidance regarding the value of elastic flexural rigidity (EI) that should be used in the analysis of steel-concrete composite columns is a significant unresolved issue that hinders the design of frame systems that include these members. The common approach of utilizing the rigidity of either the steel or the concrete only tends to be overly conservative. Other approaches that...
